i'm back!
haha! technically i didn't go anyway....but...i was busy hibernating in school...kinda promised myself that i won't blog during the sem....haha! along with many other sacrifices such as...hmm..basically giving up my life and all semblances of FUN!
anyway...2nd week of holiday...haha! still have yet to get enough of the slacking around...but i guess i have to really get some serious work done on my thesis....if not when jan rolls by i'll be in quite a pickle...

B.A.B.Y has gone for his 2nd week of in-camp-training...it really sucks...but ohwell..at least just 5 more days to go....hope it doesn't pour so heavily this week...outfield...not so fun i guess when its muddy and yeeky...BAH!

things were looking great and i was happy. looking forward to spending thursday with you. though 4 days apart prior to an insignificant day seem to be shaping up really terribly.
a day that is supposed to be shared and joyously enjoyed by both of us..simply because we get to share the night together...has to be build up and ravaged by your own doubts, apprehensions, jadedness and superstitions.
i don't know. i'm worried too. i'm trying to be positive for you. somehow i see your wall caving in again. i give up.

wheew! didn't realise how much i miss the thrill of shopping carefreely..hmm..or should i say..rather carelessly *bah*!
i do admit..this sudden surge of shopping madness was brought on by my own incessant drumming to myself that.."dee! its your birthday week! you should pamper yourself!" HAHA! what a CONVENIENT justification right gelobeano?! *winks*
so...my dear friends...lets reveal whats in dee's shopping bags today!

Vintage blue-ish/greenish? dress (heee..its versatile..you can dress it up with a a belt or dress it down as a day-sundress with flip-flops..i shall i shall wear it to school!)
i got a belt - for a birthday gift! compliments of mer and dawndawn! (technically i didn't spend on this!)
ah-ma shoes! black flats! (it was on sale at substance!)
and lastly..my fave...lingerie! (wheew! i love!)
white pants! (okie i bought this last week but i only got it altered today so it was also kinda sitting there admist my shopping purchases!)

LALA! okie..to be fair..i haven't shop in a while! sooo..this is just one of those rare mad days where i run amok in town! heee!

and..thank you guys so much for my surprise birthday dinner at village (i insist on calling it as it is! HAHA so much for being french), the thoughtful gifts and the fun and laughter that settlers always manage to round up from us! love you guys so much! thank you thank you thank you! i know i know..all you working folks must be like BAH-ing right now at how lazy i am..but hey..its the holidays!
anyway..got a real shock this morning..mer's mum (hmm..once my arch-nemesis? - kidding!) called to inform me that mer's missing*?! oh-my-goodness..it was indeed rather worrisome as she did msged a strange sms last night before she disappeared off the radar for a while..hmm...well..maybe sometimes it does take a crisis for the dying embers of a friendship to be rekindled?

for what its worth..i do miss these pals of mine.

finally got round to uploading some pictures of fondue night! thanks nai!
come to think of it, this is actually the first meeting of everybody who will in time to come (and the time is now..HA) become the regular gang that m.j.-it, squash-it settlers-cafe it and also endeavour to fly-a-kite-it (a rather successful attempt may i add! we were like the best kite-flyers there! wheew..hush..nobody has to know the truth. tell and you die.)

next up..the girls whom simply can't resist posing with their fruits..(nai's mango, jobi's kiwi,dee's strawberry and a big tub of melted-chocolate! *licks*)

and who was to arrive at the eleventh hour...but....the pretty late-comer...nikki ow XY! (miss you gal..fondue it for us down-under!)

now now...i know what all of you must be wondering at this moment..where's gelobeano? do not fret...here comes GEL the fondue-choose-a-fruit-expert! (either she's trying to teach kelvin in the ways of choosing and poking the right fruit, or she's simply getting ready to poke kelvin with the fondue stick. hmm..wonder why kelvin look so pleased? hee)

and of course, last but not least, how could we attempt to meddle with tough sticks and scalding hot chocolate without proper adult supervision? not to worry people..all these were done under the watchful eyes of nai ma and nai pa EDMUND! (i'm your fave nai-er! say it!)

with school just around the corner, i must say geek-dee is back in action!

heee! simply exuberant and elated that school is re-opening! the comfort of central library, engulfing me in its serenity as i plough through the readings and books that are required for the endless term papers heading our way.

my last year as a student.

i know i know..its just me being melodramatic again.. but everything we do this year is for the last time! eating Y.T.F, hanging at the oh-so-cool 'HELL' section (but i think we have made our 'green tables' waaay cooler than the pink section), the coffeee and waffles evening snack, da-baoing coffeee back to lectures..argghh..i'm gonna miss all these so much! even rushing to damn science for understanding ur medications with you JAYohJAY! haha! lets breadth it together shall we?!

as much as i love the adrenaline rush of sieving through the mountaineous loads of readings, school would never be half-as-fun if not for you pple! my friends, comrades-in-arms-in-NUS, nai that constantly drop by to check that her nai-ers are doing their work, and of course you.

Thank you for showing me a part of uni-life that i wouldn't have trade for anything in the world.

You sure kept it interesting in every sense of the word. and with that i'm looking forward to my last year as a student, on campus, with you.

yum yum! i am such a greedy girl! just polished off a bowl of cornflakes with milk! love it! keep telling myself that snacking at night is bad and my already protruding tum-tum would just get bigger but apparently..some ladies magazine (that i can't remember exactly which one it was) states that snacking at night is alright if its cereal! that it actually helps you to lose weight! HAHA! BAH! SO THERE! but i still think its total crap! how can that be! you eat and you lose weight? hmmm..wouldn't it be better if we just don't snack?

heee..on a more serious note..this is my pal thew! a long overdue post to honour my friendship with him. the only dude-pal of mine whom i'm never too busy to catch up with, who has seen me at my lowest and somehow has always been there to listen to me. strange as it may be, its comforting how i'm able to pour my heart out to this guy and though a man of few words when faced with such girly problems, is always able to time and again guide me without passing any judgments and jumping to conclusions. thank you thew. to more pool and supper sessions and a lifetime of endless yakking and being there for one-another!

jealousy. a word when dissected encompasses the word lousy in it.
and true enough, lousy is what we feel when we are engulfed by this greeneyemonster.
you can't quite put a finger to it. you can't quite figure out why you are upset.
at the back of your head you know its just irrational thinking, the devil doing its work so well again;
tugging at your heartstrings. nudging you just a little out of the comfort zone you so carefully carve out for yourself.
in a way i don't need to know your everymove, yet sadly everytime i call you, just to have a nice quick chat after a long day, you are out with a friend. different friends but with similar traits..all female and all in which had a distinctive history with you.
i can't compete with them, your history with them and i know its silly to worry myself sick over these beings.
as such i am penning these illogically heart-wrenching thoughts down. hoping that a simple act as such could eviscerate the evil within me.

let me become a bigger-hearted person who knows her own worth in this cruel world of ours.
